Tailoring the Texture and Mechanical Anisotropy of Multi-cross Rolled Mg–Zn–Gd Alloy by Annealing

چکیده

The unidirectional rolled Mg–Zn–Gd sheet usually exhibited non-basal texture with two peaks whose tilting angle were about 42° from normal direction to transverse (TD), which would cause the mechanical anisotropy. In this study, multi-cross rolling followed by annealing was used tailor and anisotropy for alloy. With increasing temperature, basal gradually transformed into circle multi-peaks. order figure out different components evolution during annealing, texture, R-texture T-texture component defined studied. results showed that change of asynchronous temperature 250 400 °C. increased slightly, while obviously, phenomenon attributed preferential nucleation at grain stage rather than growth. yield strength along TD more sensitive compared (RD), resulting in descending slopes temperature. Annealing 300 °C best due low anisotropy, moderate good elongation among these temperatures. Schmid factor slip indicated activity RD obviously °C, should be caused component, consequently transformation isotropic anisotropic strength.

Development of a strong Goss texture during annealing of a heavily rolled Al–0.3% Cu alloy

The evolution of microstructure and texture during isochronal annealing of a heavily cold rolled Al–0.3% Cu alloy has been characterized using electron backscatter diffraction. It is found that the rolling texture of this alloy is dominated by the Brass component and that recrystallization during annealing leads to the formation of a pronounced Goss texture. It is suggested that the development...

EFFECT OF FINISH ROLLING TEMPERATURE ON MICROSTRUCTURE,TEXTURE AND PLANAR ANISOTROPY IN ALUMINUM ALLOY AA3004 SHEETS

AA3004 alloy is widely used in can making. The major concern in the production of canbodies is earing, which develop by high planar anisotropy of rolled sheet. Balance ofrecrystallisation and rolling textures together with a uniform and fine grain microstructure canminimize the earing. The effects of finish rolling temperature (FRT) on planar anisotropy, microstructure, texture development and m...

The subgrain structure of hot rolled aluminum alloy AA 5005 has been characterized on as-received samples using Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD). Based on the OIM scans of RD-ND and TD-ND, 3 dimensional microstructures of subgrains are built up using the 3D Microstructure Builder, which is a method for developing statistically representative digital representations of microstructures. Fo...
